When logging in after the password,icons load but when you click on them nothing happens. Also, the computer would reboot after entering password and entering. I tried retore points, no good. I tried uninstalling programs, no good. I tried safe mode which works pretty good and I can do many things including internet.I am about to slick the drive but I wanted to see if there are some problems like this out there and if there are any fixes. Problem- After installing Sprint smart view, i was prompted to update it from sprint. After doing this the smart viewer would not work. I uniinstalled it but when trying to re-install it windows would not reconize I had card pluged in. Software is downloaded from the broad band card and I'm running Windows Vista.I know the card is not bad because I can use it on other computers. Sprint say there must be "portions" of the old smart viewer still on the computer? |

Windows vista found too many programs running in the background and shut down all of what I can tell were non-system processes and restarted, and when it restarted the only way I can get any .exe file to run is to select itself from the list of programs to use to open the file with, because it no longer recognizes .exe files and will only run them from that menu. |

The blue ring continually flashes beside the cursor about twice a second all the time, not just when the computer is doing something. It only stops when in a text entry or selection field. Have I got a virus ? I have McAfee security, but had this problem dates from before it was installed. |

Hi, As of this morning I'm unable to do anything on my computer. Every time I click an Icon on my desktop or even try to open up MicroSoft Word this message appears. The application has failed to start because the side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more details. I have no idea what that means and why it's on my screen. I'm the only one who uses my laptop and I use it for my Home Based Business. I bought my compter 2/28/09 and never had any problems with it. I called Toshiba and my wireless broadband company, ran a system restore and found no problems other than the fact this message appears and I can't do anything. Toshiba and my broadband company said Microsoft is having problems??? I'm running Vista 64 bit and all was well until now. Someone please help. |

actualy i downloaded "google chrome" application.exe file 4rm net. just den i clicked on "OPEN" option . unknowingly, i selected "ADOBE" file, clicked "OK" ..... SUDDENLY all the shortcuts on desktop "FLV PLAYER","VLC PLAYER ","INTERNET xplorer"... changd into "ADOBE" format file. Finally i had to uninstall "ADOBE RDR" to bring dem bak into their supporting format.. again wenever i install "ADOBE RDR",same thing happens. How to solve dis problem. Dell PC w/Windows Vista, that we have had for 2 yrs. Wireless web connection to in home router. Problems started about two weeks ago. Problem may be connected to Norton 360 software that was installed in Aug 2009. One personal PC started to have minor problems and Norton 360 was uninstalled and Norton CSR upgraded to Norton 360 3.0 and no more problems with the first PC. After the second PC started having problems we decided to be proactive and upgrade the 3rd unit/laptop that was not having any problems and also has not had any problems since upgrading to Norton 360 version 3.0. We are only occasionally able to get the troubled PC on but unable to access the web to do the Norton 360 version 3.0 upgrade. Norton CSR said there is nothing they can do unless we can get web access. They provided the link to get the upgrade if we can get web access again. Original Norton 360 was uninstalled during one of the times the unit was otherwise working fine. Have had a Norton 360 software problem with two other units and both had Norton 360 uninstalled and the newer version of Norton 360 was installed per Norton CSR input. So far have had the problem in a personal laptop and in home PC. In both cases Norton 360 was uninstalled and version 3.0 was installed. Both units had Norton based problems but with upgrade, no longer any problems. But we can't web access to upload Norton 360 version 3.0. When after getting the unit to come one and after using Safe Start mode, we sometimes get unit to work perfectly. But unit will intermittently stop working and turn off while working on the PC or if just sitting idle for a few minutes. Symptoms: Sometimes PC won't start at all. Sometimes there is a picture but it is a bad image but readable. Sometimes when we move the mouse over this screen, it is like it is erasing the color. Sometimes the screen will just have some streaks and unreadable Sometimes the screen will have many colored streaks but is readable but will not operate - but sometimes it will. Computer intermittently won't start up. Unit will turn on but sometimes screen is blank. Unable to get wireless internet access but other household wireless laptop does not have web connection problem to in home router. Message from unit said cannot repair and suggest try system restore. Ran system restore back to an update point a month ago (before problems started). PC worked great in all capacity except for no web access. When PC was turned off and we tried a restart and PC would not come on at all and back to square one. Have run Start Up Repair several times and sometimes the unit works perfectly but when it is shut down, the start up problem resumes from scratch. Have unplugged the unit from the wall plug and left unplugged overnight and still problem w/start up. Have Unplugged and disconnected modem to reset Have disconnected wireless card and reinserted to ensure a good connection Have repeatedly restarted unit for internal reset Have tried various System Restore options Have tried a different monitor but no difference Have tried a regular monitor cable instead of DVI cable Have also tried resetting power cord, hard drive etc per online instructions. Would connect with “limited access" or local access only NO internet. |

I'm using HP pavilion dv4 1133tx laptop for the past 16 months. If I try to copy .vob files it takes much time to copy and it goes to "not responding" stage. While I am using the computer, whether I am on the internet or not, every 3-4 minutes a blue box will pop up ans I have 3 minutes to type in an encrypted code before it will shut down. It is extremely annoying when it stops what you are doing and you have to type in the word/words before you can finish. Does anyone know how I can get this to stop???? The only thing I have done recently is change my security settings and have a lock on the computer where only I can put in a password before it will let you use it. Would this have made the computer start doing this?? Any help would be appreciated!!

Any one have the problem of live tv freeze up during play. you click live tv, select channel, it starts to play and then freezes. on the control bar it has gone into pause?

I am trying to make a dvd from my pics/vids in windows dvd maker, when I go to burn it pops up an error occured, at the same point every time i retry. It will play in full when previewing and I have changed the speed 3 times. How can the error be found or fixed?
